Resources

In this step, project administrators can view the project’s resource usage as well as reallocate maximum available resources between the Development and Production environments.

Quota is the total available amount of resources.

Request Quota

If the user needs more resources, then he can click the Request button and, in the opened window, enter the desired total quota amount for each resource. Сlick Request to send it to the project manager for approval. Once the request is approved, the user will receive an email notification.

Allocate Quota

To redistribute available free quota between Development and Production environments, click Allocate and in the opened window adjust parameters as needed by dragging free quota slider. Click Save to apply the changes.

The increase and decrease of the quota by the manager is displayed differently in the Development and Production environments. Thus, if the manager reduces the quota, then first it is reduced in the Development environment and only then in the Production environment. If the manager, on the contrary, decides to increase it, then this will only increase the volume of the Development environment while the volume of the Production environment remains unchanged.

In the Allocation window, you can use the sliders to adjust the free resources between the Production and Development environments. The amount of resources moved is indicated by the numbers above the slider.

Example

By moving the CPU slider towards Development. The number of CPUs in Production is increasing.
